Event Description:
The Senior Expo solves a crucial need in our community: connecting senior citizens and care givers to local businesses who can help with their specific needs, whether those are financial, residential, transportation, or other. The first and second annual Senior Expos were a huge success, summoning 150+ senior citizens and showcasing over 20 businesses. The event features a time for attendees to explore the table vendors, followed by two breakout sessions, then a lunch with a seminar featuring a professional from the healthcare community presenting the keynote address and culminating with an optional physical activity tour of the YMCA at Hartley Drive. Through this event, senior citizens leave knowing what services are available to them locally and business vendors leave with new contacts. This event is free and open to the public.
A shuttle will be provided between the Roy B. Culler, Jr. Senior Center and the Hartley Drive YMCA on the day of the event for attendees in need of transportation. More details to come.
