Name: High Point Big Sweep
Date: October 7, 2017
Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
The High Point Big Sweep is a city wide litter clean up event that is held annually in the fall. Hundreds of people come together to help beautify High Point by removing litter from roadways, streams, creeks, lake shorelines, parks, and along the Greenway. The day will begin with meeting at 1300 East Hartley Drive in High Point at 9:00 AM. We will have coffee and doughnuts for all volunteers and you can pick up your supplies at this time. Once you have your supplies, you can head out to your cleanup site. We meet back at the 1300 East Hartley location at Noon for lunch and to collect data on how many bags of trash and recycling have been collected from the different sites. We will be finished up by 1:00 PM. This event is also a food drive as well will try to "Fill Up the Pickup"! Please plan on bringing not-perishable food items to donated for local food banks in High Point.
