About Us

CT Wilson Construction Company is a third-generation, family-owned commercial general contractor headquartered in Durham, with an additional office in Greensboro, North Carolina. Founded in 1952 by Charles T. Wilson, Sr., and incorporated in North Carolina in 1955, the firm has provided preconstruction and construction management services in Durham and across the region for more than 70 years. Today, the company is led by Durham natives Charles “Charlie” T. Wilson, III, President, and Charles “Chuck” T. Wilson, Jr., CEO, continuing a multi-generational commitment to the community. CT Wilson combines the financial strength and capability of a large contractor with the accessibility and flexibility of a smaller firm, allowing us to solve complex project challenges through early involvement, creative problem-solving, and personalized service. The majority of our work is negotiated with long-standing, repeat clients, over 60% of whom are nonprofit organizations. Our experience spans a wide range of project types, with particular depth in education, healthcare, recreational, religious, community housing, and adaptive reuse facilities. With a team of around 70 employees, including skilled craftspeople, CT Wilson offers versatility through selective self-performance and maintains a strong safety culture, reflected by an EMR of 0.73.
